DYNEEMA®
DSM Dyneema is the inventor and manufacturer of Dyneema®, the world’s strongest fiber™. Dyneema® is a superstrong polyethylene fiber that offers maximum strength combined with minimum weight. It is up to 15 times stronger than quality steel and up to 40% stronger than aramid fibers, both on weight for weight basis.
According to US and EU safety guidelines, gloves made of engineered yarns that incorporate DYNEEMA® fibers offer the highest degree of protection against abrasion while allowing the glove construction to remain lightweight. On a weight-for-weight basis, gloves made with DYNEEMA® offer twice the level of protection demanded by the highest class in EN 388 standards. Gloves that incorporate DYNEEMA® conduct heat and moisture dispersion better than other materials, and are resistant to moisture, UV light and chemicals. DYNEEMA® is unaffected by water or detergents and can be washed and re-used without any loss of cut resistance.
