Firemaster® 4 (NFPA & EN659)

An updated version of our well known Firemaster ® 4 glove; manufactured in the UK and certified to both EN659:2003 by Satra in the UK and compliant to NFPA 1971 (2007 edition) as tested by Underwriters Laboratories Inc in North Carolina. The Firemaster ® 4 is a full grain leather structural fire-fighting glove that gives superb protection and dexterity in one. It features an outer shell made from our unique fire, water and chemical resistant PYROHIDE® grain cowhide leather where a heavier weighted leather has been used on the back of the hand for increased heat resistance in this location. This model is cut on a fully fitted fourchette pattern and sewn full inseam with a curved finger. This pattern enhances the natural curve of the hand and ensures the ultimate in comfort, fit and dexterity for the wearer. In fact many customers have advised that the superior dexterity and fit of our glove enables them to use of the "Man Down" button on their portable radios with their gloves on should the need arise. On the palm we have added a full FR neoprene coated Kevlar® patch to increase the contact heat resistance and grip capability in this location, as well as increasing the longevity of the product. A Gore Crosstech® pathogen resistant membrane offering the ultimate in barrier protection is chemically bonded to a KOVENEX ® cut and sew lining which is made from a combination of two weights of fabric to maintain peek levels of protection and dexterity where it is most required. The lining unit (liquid + thermal barrier) is secured with a sewn tab on each finger and thumb tip to guarantee lining retention even in the most hostile of environments. Finished with a wristlet cuff to ensure compatibility with bunker jackets that have sleeves without knitted tubular wristlet cuffs or sleeves with short knitted wristlet cuffs and thumb loops. The Cadet variant glove is made to exactly the same patterns as the Firemaster ® 4 but with finger lengths reduced by approx ½ inch.
